  • Raid Administrator Anorak?

    2010 - 04.06

As I’ve mentioned before, I’m keen to start raiding but it hasn’t happened yet. I’m currently trying to help things along a little by organising a roster of people who are interested in, available for and capable of raiding within our guild. To that end I’ve stuck a post on our (pretty much empty) forum about raiding.

Predictably, it’s pointlessly over-wordy, but once all the justifications, “funny” commentary and general wittering is done it boils down to four questions:

    1) What character classes and roles are you available to raid with *right now*
    2) When are you available (days of the week and time periods — include time zone!)
    3) What content are you interested in seeing (“all of it” is perfectly acceptable)
    4) Please include an armory link to your chars (to help with picking reasonable raid goals).

There’ll be plenty more that I probably should have asked but hopefully that should be sufficient to work out who’s interested, who’s available and give us some indications of where we ought to go. As fun as taking a stick to Marrowgar’s bony servants has been, I’m tired of being a wallflower. I want to get out there and dance with all of you cool kids.

Still, it should provide me with decent blog fodder, whether it’s the trials and tribulations of being a new raider or just sobbing quietly into a beer glass because no-one loves me. I’m hoping the former, for obvious reasons, but also because I want to use the word raidge* appropriately within a post. I truly do.

    * raidge: (n) Feeling of anger at inability to progress, unprepared guildies, connection woes, personnel issues and/or personal issues which cause problems for a raid.
